James N. Cain


As a Senior Partner with the firm, James N. Cain has been with THE LEIS GROUP since 2003. Initially entering the recruiting business in 1994, Jim's executive search career has focused mainly in the healthcare provider and services industries and, the pharmaceutical / biotechnology manufacturing and services industries. Previous to joining THE LEIS GROUP, Jim served as Vice President and Partner from 1994 - 2003 for an extremely successful Midwestern based executive search firm which was aggressively expanding into a variety of healthcare sectors in the early / mid 90's. Jim quickly found his calling and helped the organization grow to become one of the most successful, recognized, and respected healthcare search firms in the country.

Prior to Jim's executive search career, he worked for seven years (1987 - 1994) on the provider (client) side of healthcare.

In 1992, Jim was recruited to Beverly Enterprises, Inc. as Director of Marketing in Central Indiana and a year later began pursuing his Hospital Administrator License.

In 1990, Jim was recruited to Pharmacy Corporation of America where he served as an Account Executive serving the long term care and rehabilitation industry. He managed PCA's enteral / par-enteral nutritions and medical supply clients for the company's Central (Midwest) Region based operation.

A graduate of Butler University (Indianapolis, IN), Jim began his career as a Paramedic in Chicago, IL serving local hospitals, ER's, SNF / ICF's, and post-acute rehabilitation centers.

Jim's philosophy is, there is much more to an executive search than the traditional approach of candidate identification and delivery. "Executive Search and Research are processes not events." THE LEIS GROUP is structured to provide their clients with industry research / market intelligence, networking, competitive feedback, candidate identification and professional counsel along the way. "We will provide whatever services are necessary to deliver the information and / or the candidate(s), which our clients desire, in order to obtain their objectives.
